The annual Washoe County Deputies Association Christmas Party was held today at Boomtown Hotel and Casino. The party was a huge success and everyone had a fantastic time. Participants enjoyed video games, 3D motion rides, miniature golf, pizza, soda, photos with Santa and tons more! I would like to thank all of those that attended and give a special thanks to Deputy Jones for making all of the arrangements, and managing the event. I am already looking forward to next year! |

Deputies Association Donates to Honor Guard |

The Washoe County Sheriffs Office agreed to send three members of the Honor Guard to Tacoma Washington for the funeral of four officers that were executed in a coffee shop. However, due to economic restrictions, the Sheriffs Office was only able to provide a vehicle, gas, and Admin time. The Washoe County Deputies Association filled the void and donated $500 to the Honor Guard to help pay for Hotel rooms and food for the trip. The Association feels that representing the Sheriffs Office and Honoring those that have given their lives is of the utmost importance. We are thrilled to be able to help with both. |
